Introduction
This project, shot on medium and large format B&W film, uses manufactured objects found in pristine landscapes as metaphors. The objects -- imbedded, out-of-place, disintegrating, ambiguous, unexpected, uncomfortable -- stand in relation to the landscape as individual identities stand in relation to the greater field of consciousness, or Nature, or the collective unconscious.
The images were made over period of about 10 years, on four continents.
